Rules of the Dojang
-
Be respectful, address black belts and instructors as Sir or
Ma'am.
-
Always bow toward the flags upon entering or leaving the workout
floor.
- Wear a complete and clean uniform to class.
- Remove all jewelry (rings, watches, necklaces, earrings).
-
Maintain good hygiene habits (clip finger/toe nails, wash
hands).
-
When arriving late, come to the front and wait to be bowed in.
Do 50 push ups at the back of class for being late, then line up
at the far back left.
- Put training equipment back in the proper area.
-
Respect the equipment and property of others. Ask, do not
assume.
-
No profanity, speak well of your classmates, say yes/no
Sir/Ma'am.
- Keep the Dojang and change rooms clean.
-
Pay your student fees on time! It is extremely disrespectful to
"forget" or wait to be reminded to pay your student fees.
-
Only students are permitted on the floor. Parents/friends may
watch from the waiting area.
-
Hapkido is a traditional martial art, not a fight club. Respect
and discipline are to be practiced on and off the workout floor
at all times.
